Tie Hands in Knots

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the collaborative installation was completed through remote teaching during online workshops. "Tying Hands in Knots" not only describes the physical act of continuously intertwining threads with both hands but also implies the psychological state of uncertainty when trying to unravel tangled and loose threads.

The artist transforms the exhibition space into a large-scale twisting machine, contemplating how single strands of thread pulled from the exhibition wall's apertures are twisted, braided, and knotted to create spatial fiber installations. Participants, using transparent acrylic boxes, envision and actualize the forms of their own fiber installations within the exhibition space.
